Kieran joined the firm in 2015 after spending the previous 8 years in the litigation team of Harkness Henry, a leading Hamilton law firm. He became a director of the firm in June 2016.
Kieran believes that understanding a person's motivations and their expectations is key to providing quality service. He prides himself on being approachable and at all times trying to put himself in the client's shoes to understand what they are trying to achieve.
He has a broad range of experience in all areas of dispute resolution and has been involved in large scale litigation involving multi-national corporate entities and cross-border litigation, through to disputes between neighbours.
As well as a general civil litigation practice, Kieran also has significant experience in construction law and building defect cases, as well as the enforcement of loan securities including both mortgages over land and securities over goods. He also provides advice in relation to lease disputes and insolvency matters.
Kieran is involved in the administration of a successful regional sports club and has taken a particular interest in sports law including administrative and disciplinary issues at all levels of sport.
He regularly appears in the District and High Courts and has appeared in the Court of Appeal on multiple occasions, and assisted with cases in the Supreme Court.
